Auto-Purge
Automatically purge restored files in iconik.
Overview
The Auto-Purge
integration performs the following functions.
- Restore an asset by custom action.
- Sets purge after days on a restored asset.
- Asset is automatically purged after input days.
User Experience
Step 01
There is a domain wide custom action which sets the number of days after the restoration date of an asset in which the active copy will be automatically deleted. This rule is set for all restored assets across the entire domain.

Step 02
Upon successful restore of an asset, the date PLUS the purge time set by the customer is written into the Purge Date field in a dedicated Purge Restored Asset Time field.

Step 03
On that date a custom purge job remove the original file on the active storage. Deleting the file in the bucket and removing the record in Iconik so only the archive copy remains.

If the file is restored again in the future the process resets and a new purge date will be written upon successful re-restore.
