Overview
This guide explains how to use the sub-clipping integration between FLICS and iconik.
The process involves several critical steps that need to be followed in a specific order to successfully transcode sub-clips in iconik.
User Experience
iconik Login
Log in to your iconik account at app.iconik.io.
Start a sub-clip transcode job
Navigate to your asset. Select 'Subclips' down the left hand side, mark an in and out point, name your sub-clip and hit 'Save':
This will automatically trigger a transcode of this sub-clip in FLICS.
A transcode can only be triggered once in a 5 minute period on the same asset. If you need to trigger it again, you must wait 5 minutes.
Job completion
Once the job is complete, clicking on 'Relations' on the original asset will show that a sub-clip child has been created:

Clicking on the sub-clip child will show you the sub-clip asset along with the transcoded files:

A collection will be created next to the original asset, with the suffix '_Subclips'. This will contain all the sub-clips that have been created for that asset:

Sub-clips are a particular type of asset, and can be filtered by type 'Subclip' when searching:
